Week 8 of 24 - You are a Super Hero!

Image
You are a Super Hero! My grandson, Kamble, came out dressed as this super hero for a game he and his cousins were playing.  I about died laughing as he had not one, but two capes on, front and back, a sword, because all super heroes carry swords, and a pair of glasses with an oversized nose and mustache, because..., I am not really sure the signifigance of this one!   Like most 6 year old little boys, who believe they have power when they are dressed the part, Kamble knows that with these clothes he can conquer all.  The confidence he has simply because of his belief allows him to attack all adversity, even if his adversaries are all around 4 feet tall!  His imagination turns into reality and this is where super heroes are born! You, like Kamble, have been putting on "super hero" clothes these past 7 weeks that have been an intricate part of the transformtion happening in you.  Your cape, or capes, may not be seen on the outside, but you have bravely p

Week 6 of 24!  Wow, it's hard to believe that we have come this far!  Hopefully you have received your copy of the Carb Cycling book and have begun to settle into a habit of eating that can last a lifetime.  It is encouraging to hear so many of you talk about the changes you are experiencing in weight and strength.  It is my prayer that you feel strong this week with minimal temptation.  Take one day at a time and before you know it you will be where you never thought you would be! Week 5 of 24 - Laugh and enjoy life!

Live Lite in body and spirit! Last night we went to see the comedian, Tim Hawkins.  The show was sold out, as most of his are.  Looking around the room, where there were more than 1500 people, you could see smiles and hear the sound of laughter all around!  There was no agenda by Tim other than for the audience to enjoy the evening.  We laughed at everything ranging from kids, marriage, church, politics, homeschool, and more.  Issues of life that so often pulls us down actually lifted us up!  Laughing at life and enjoying the journey of the good, bad, and the ugly can give a whole new perspective and a joy that might otherwise be lost because it has all become such a burden. It is my prayer that you are able to laugh a little more this week than you did last.  That you find a new sense of joy in the mundain or irritants of life.  Look at your day, and all that it holds, as an opportunity to find a sense of lightheartedness in whatever might come your way.  Laugh with your k
